It all started on an app called Hinge and James asking Allison what her official ranking of the Fast and Furious movies was (Fast Five is still #1, by the way).

What followed sounds like a series of rom-com hijinks — Allison and James both wandering the streets of Reston at 11 PM, James getting his car totaled driving home from said Reston date (he was somehow unscathed!), and Allison feeling guilty enough that she went to pick James up from work the next evening (she already knew she liked him anyway) — but the happy couple said ‘goodbye’ to Hinge and made it official after only their third date.

After a year and a half of weekly Chinese takeout dinners, near-constant Community references, and endless cozy gaming sessions on the couch, James proposed to Allison in their tranquil backyard on a sunny Saturday morning. Allison might have blacked out, but she did say ‘yes’ — and so these two soulmates and best friends are set to be wed.
